Gutsy Release Party Bandung

Oh my god…

Today, at 9am I’ve been decided to be MC of Gutsy Release Party Bandung at STT Telkom and I don’t have any preparation for this.

There are many things that out of my control, but thanks to God that everything goes well.

Well, to be MC of GRP Bandung is an honour for me though it’s hard to say that it goes well hehe.

Hard event, hard experiences…

Creating Local Repository [no internet connection]

Sometimes, it finds uncomfortable if we have to insert some DVDs to
install a software using DVD repositories.
But you won’t need to do it again and again if you have your own repository on your ubuntu system. I found it in InfoLINUX magz, but I forget what edition it is. I give a little modification on it and here are some steps to avoid earlier broken DVD-ROM :

Hiding Mounted Volume on Ubuntu Desktop

After installing ubuntu feisty fawn on your system, it automatically shows

mounted volume on the desktop.

Sometimes, It looks dirty when I just want to watch my wallpaper. Well,

I will show you how to hide these peevish stuffs.

1. First step, go to run application that can be activated by

pressing Alt+F2,

2. Insert gconf-editor into the box and enter,

3. Browse into /apps/nautilus/desktop,

4. Remove sign on volume_visible by clicking on it.

Now you’ll have a wonderful wallpaper without something.
